Fall Term 2025: Week 4
We love hearing stories about women in STEM—especially when they’re told by other women in the field. Looking Forward: Women in STEM is a permanent segment of the Substack newsletter How We Talk About Science, curated by editors Isabella Cisneros and Jessica Oros. The series features interviews with women scientists around the world, reviews of books by women in STEM, and spotlights on the groundbreaking work women are doing across scientific disciplines.
New entries are published periodically, and the main feed also offers deep dives into fascinating discoveries and key moments in STEM history. If you're passionate about science and want to stay informed, subscribe to the newsletter!

World Space Week!
World Space Week takes place every year from October 4-10! Established by the UN General Assembly in 1999, this celebration honors two major milestones in space history: the launch of Sputnik 1 on October 4, 1957, and the signing of the Outer Space Treaty on October 10, 1967.
Each year, WSW has a specific theme. This year’s theme asks celebrants to consider the prospect of “Living in Space.” What would it look like? How would it feel to be a citizen, not just of a nation or of the world, but of the universe?
