Welcome to Winter Term!

Hopefully you all had a refreshing winter break! For many of you, this will be your first winter at Dartmouth. As a word of advice, winter term gets VERY busy and goes by quickly. We recommend mapping out a weekly schedule that includes some breaks, time to get outside during the day, and a good night’s rest.

WISP Research Internships

Interns, by now you should have completed any paperwork required by the Student Employment Office to begin working for the College. The SEO can also help you set up digital payments if you have not done so already.

Hopefully, you have met with or planned to meet with your faculty advisor so you can work out a schedule for the term, go over the goals of your internship, discuss your project, meet your labmates, etc. It’s good to do this soon so you can hit the ground running!

Finally, there is a mandatory orientation session this Thursday, 1/9, from 4-5PM. You should have received a Zoom invitation in December; a reminder will go out Thursday. If you cannot attend this meeting, please let us know at [email protected].

Peer Mentor Program

Mentors, please check in with your mentees! Remember, the expectation is that you will meet with or touch base with your mentees biweekly. Please keep your eyes open, as we will have some opportunities for meetups and other activities to get together in the near future, which will be posted here.
