Winter Term - Week 7
Brrr! That was a chilly weekend! Stay warm this week!
Thank you to all of the PMP mentors who came out to last week’s course selection event! We so appreciate your willingness to share your experience and insight with first year students who are navigating the process.
GWISE x WISP Journal Club
Second session next Tuesday!
The first journal club session was a hit and we’re looking forward to the second, which will be held next Tuesday (2/25) at 5:30-7PM in LSC205. You can still register to jump in. Registrants, please let us know if you will not attend, as it will help us order the correct amount of food.
The next two sessions will pick up after spring break: April 8 and April 22. We hope to see you there!
Gilman Scholarship Info Session for First-Generation Students
Monday, February 17 (TODAY!), 5:30-6:15PM
Virtual session
First-gen science students, are you considering studying abroad next year?
Our friends at the First Generation Office and Fellowship advising will host an information session for US citizens who receive the Pell Grant and are planning to study abroad in the 2025-2026 year. The Gilman Scholarship provides up to $5,000 towards study abroad expenses.
Liv Pyrczak, First-Gen community member, will talk about her experience as a Gilman recipient, and Leslie Wagner-Ould Ismail from Fellowship Advising will be available to answer questions about the application process and tell you how fellowship advisors can support you in your application.
